I watched the ones with Silent Rob who talks about being an employee there. Now I feel guilty getting my 3DS and other games from there. But I had an occasional good experience with some of the employees so it makes me feel bad knowing what goes on behind the scene.

I avoid shopping there because I generally go for one thing and one thing only and as I'm being rung up the cashier generally tries to sell me the entire store and begs me to sign up for this club or that magazine and even if its free I'm simply not interested.
I'd never actually been harassed or bullied or insulted for the games I was selling or buying as others have reported though.

If it weren't for the people that work at my local GS I would never shop there. I've built a rapport with the current employees thetr over the last couple of years so they're very good to me. If I don't buy from them I usually just get all my gaming stuff from Amazon.

My worst experience with them was online.
We bought a game from them and they kept switching the billing and/or shipping address with my boyfriend's old address (which is in Virginia) and everytime we called, they still didn't fix it. The first time it happened, we had to get his family to ship it back there and re-order the game here -- Second time, in the end, we canceled the order and ordered with Amazon.
Since then, I've been pretty much through with them :/ Unfortunately, they get so many pre-order bonuses...

I had to resist preodrdering Donkey Kong Country Returns from them. Their preorder bonus, a banana pouch, was just so tempting but I hated dealing with them in the past so I managed to push myself to buying from target instead. And Target gave me a $10 gift card and I wasn't even aware of the special.
Also I resisted preordering Okamiden from them for that stylus. And my resistance got rewarded when the Capcom Store was giving out Chibiterasu Plush keychains when you preorder from them. I did not have to deal with cancelling my preorder.
Chibiterasu Plush Keychain > cheaply glued paintbrush stylus.
My desire for the preorder bonus did get the best of me when it came to the Ho-oh figurine for preordering Heart Gold. Can you believe they asked me if I wanted to give it away to someone else instead? That's the reason I preordered from you in the first place.

I preordered my 3DS there, with little intention to get any launch titles (well, at least 1).
I left the store with 3 launch games, a Game Informer mag and an upgraded PowerUp rewards card.
Goddamn it.

I got tricked into getting a Game Informer magazine too. Never fell for it again.

I hate having to go to GameStop to buy something, luckily if I need any games I have a friend who runs his own shop (I will leave information for those who are interested below) where I can get my games from.
I was in GameStop the other day, just to buy a case for my 3DS after looking them over I decided not to buy one and was barraged with "Want to pre-order Mario Kart gotta love Mario kart!" Nah I'm good. "What about Resident Evil it comes out next week don't want to miss that one!" No thanks. "What about Paper Mario! You like Mario don't ya?" So annoying.
And for those interested in buying games from a local store (Local for me anyway) rather than GameStop here's my friend's shop info.
