In sunlight and certain types of electric light, it becomes apparent that the bezel of the Touch Screen marks two lines on the Top Screen when you close the lid, which seems to be a problem with the system design.
I applied a screen protector to the top screen just in to prevent this from becoming permanent over time.
Anyone else have experience with this problem? if its not just me, I wouldn't hesitate to call this the only real design FLAW with the unit.

*wipes with a tissue*
If what I see is what you are talking about, a simple tissue seems to clean it off mostly for me.

The way I clean the screen is to dip 1/3rd of a Kleenex tissue into some water and gently wipe the screen. Then I take a soft cloth and wipe the screen dry. It becomes crystal clear after that. =D

I've had this issue. I have a screen protector, but it tends to make the markings more noticeable. :/

I got the Hori screen protectors. Yes I get the marks as well, but with the top screen protector covering all but the speakers and camera, it doesn't really matter.
If I didn't have the protector to cover the top screen i'd be pretty pissed off at the potential of scratching the screen every time i'd try to wipe off those lines. I agree though, they should have made the bezel a bit lower to avoid it.

Yeah, its not a big deal, the marks do wipe off easily I only put the top screen protector on (not even bothering with the touch screen one) so that I could eventually replace it every few months rather than the marks possibly become permanent over time, as I anticipate this being the ONLY 3DS system I own throughout the platform's lifespan.

Problem is, it has the possibility of scratching the top screen.
Mine already has a very small one.

You aren't the only one. But the marks wipe off easily for me. Still a tad annoying though

I too have this issue with my 3DS and I have screen protectors on it. I am afraid it will eventually scratch my screen..But just going to have to be very careful I suppose.
