I posted this in another forum so it's pretty much unchanged. I think it may shed light on the situation and it is not as bad as it seems and hopefully I am not proven wrong.

I did a google search. If this connects to the topic I think there is nothing to worry about and everyone is just blowing things way out of proportion.

“This isn’t about individuals or families streaming movies at home,” Klobuchar said in an e-mail after today’s vote. “It’s about criminals streaming thousands of dollars worth of stolen digital content and profiting from it.”

In the groups' press release, they said the bill would "only in cases in which a Web site operator has willfully and knowingly violated a copyright and profited from it, and does not allow law enforcement to prosecute people who stream videos without intending to profit—a parent sharing a video of her child with friends and family, for example."

Violations could result in fines or land you jail for up to five years if you stream 10 or more TV shows or movies in a 180-day period, provided the retail value is more than $2,500 and the licenses are worth more than $5,000.

Under the "Anti-Streaming" bill, those who are caught streaming copyrighted material (films, music, games etc) in a "performance" that becomes popular and makes over $2,500 can either face some rather hefty fines or even up to five years in prison!

I guess as long as you don't make money then you are safe.
